I'm new to v.9. I read an old debate on the removal the option for the traditional Find dialog to remember the "Start at Top" option. I understand there are additional steps I can take to do without that dialog, but after a couple weeks of trying things differently, no matter what it just seems less efficient than the old way.
There was an answer to change this, but I've run it and it doesn't work for me in 9.3. It was: defaults write com.barebones.bbedit FindDialog:RememberStartAtTop - bool YES I don't know how this works very well, so I don't want to start messing with the command. What is the proper command to run? I'm using 10.5.8. My second question is, how much memory is needed for comparing differences? I'm running a fairly large comparison of folders (about 900GB in each folder) and I'm getting an error telling me BBEdit is out of memory. I've got 4GB.
