Sorry to have been away so long. I really appreciate your trying to figure out what I am talking about.
My interest is specifically in the bbedit project outline, the one to the left of the editing window. I know how to find the file in the finder, to open from the terminal, etc. My problem here is actually the reverse. It occurs when I open a file that is part of the project from finder or terminal. Here's a scenario. Sometimes I will use spotlight to find a phrase in a project file, then I will drag it to bbedit to do whatever. Then I would like to make related changes in other files in that directory. There are lots of ways that I can actually deal with the situation but, if I could do something to cause the bbedit project outline to expand to reveal the file I am editing, it would be just what I am looking for. More clarity? I hope so. Thanks again. tqii On Jan 19, 9:42 pm, Charlie Garrison <[email protected]> wrote: > Good afternoon, > > On 19/01/10 at 1:39 PM -0800, tqwhite <[email protected]> wrote: > > >A lot of the time, I want to look at other files in the same > >directory.
