A colleague has been having trouble with BBEdit's subversion connection since I migrated it from http to https. The command-line tools work like a charm, but BBEdit won't save the password, so it consistently fails with an "authorization failed: Could Not Authenticate to Server..." error. On the BBEdit side, a per-instance repository sets up correctly, but after you save and close the dialogue box, the password disappears. On the Keychain side, the password never shows up for BBEdit, but works great for the command line svn. I've tried: * Deleting the version control entry and rebuilding * Checking out a fresh copy and registering it with BBEdit * Repairing the keychain (per instructions on another thread in this forum), * Deleting and recreating the keychain, * Setting svn to a blank password for his account, * Changing the default svn that BBEdit uses [ defaults write com.barebones.bbedit Subversion:SubversionToolPathOverride /opt/ subversion/bin/svn ] * Downloading a trial copy of 9.3.1 (he normally uses 8.7.2) * Checking the console for error messages to google (there were no messages with matching timestamps under All Messages of LOG DATABASE QUERIES)
...none of that worked and I am out of ideas. Can anyone offer advice? Josiah -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "BBEdit Talk" discussion group on Google Groups.
