I don't know if this has come up before, but is there a way to
tell bbdiff to ignore CVS/RCS tags (i.e. $Date, $Id, $Revision,

It may not be bbdiff that's the culprit. How are you invoking
the diff? Is it via svn?
I haven't bothered tracking down exactly where/what causes it,
but if I do a svn diff (via GUI client) it uses BBEdit for diffs
but the file I'm comparing against from the repo has it's tags
changed so that BBEdit seems them as different.
Eg. my original document:
# $Revision: 318 $
# $Author: charlie $
# $Date: 2010-02-18 04:04:21 +1100 (Thu, 18 Feb 2010) $
The file from the repo only shows:
# $Revision$
# $Author$
# $Date$
BBEdit sees those as different.
It does NOT see these as different:
# $Revision: $
# $Author: $
# $Date: $
I don't know whether BBEdit or subversion is doing the 'wrong'
thing. But that might explain why BBEdit is seeing differences.
To BBSW guys, is the second block above valid? Should BBE see
that as the same? Should I send a bug report?
