Have a look at BBEdit's Automator actions. You can build some nice services 
from there.

But keep in mind that BBEdit must be running when the service is invoked. The 
difference with TextSoap is that it runs a little background app so that the 
TextSoap app itself doesn't need to be running when you invoke a service.
