First, a note, TetWrangler is free.

But as for your Shift+End issue, it has to be something on your machine or your 
user account. First thing, create a new user, login, and try it.

Also, of course, double check the setting in the Editing: keyboard pref panel, 
and see if you have some utility installed that is capturing the End. Both keys 
work correctly here (10.6.5) on three machines.
