Hi. I am a long time user of BBEdit and one thing has been annoying me for some time that I am hoping to resolve. This has to do with search and replace. At one time when a search or replace was conducted you would get a single dialog pop up following the replace to say that x number of replacements were made (and prompted to click ok). At some point this became this same dialog together with a second dialog (the dark semi-transparent dialog) telling you pretty much the same thing.
Why is this? And can the additional dialog be turned off? I hate that my screen gets cluttered with another dialog and I am wasting a click each time I complete a find/search replace to click it off. I realize if I click ok on the first dialog the second will fade away eventually but this is not quick enough. I want as little cluttering my screen as possible and this additional dialog adds no value to the user experience in my opinion. I genuinely love the product otherwise and have been using it reliably for many years. Hopefully someone with Barebones can answer, and potentially remove this dialog from the application, or make it configurable as preference to be able to toggle on or off if someone might possibly want this scenario. Many thanks. Regards, David -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "BBEdit Talk" discussion group on Google Groups.
