Hello all. I'm new to the group, but I've been using BBEdit since the very beginning when it was promoted by sending out free t-shirts just for putting a "made with BBEdit" gif on your website. :)
When I code HTML in BBEdit, the process for adding a URL anchor to some text used to be really simple. It was select the anchor text, hit the keystroke, paste in the URL from the clipboard. If the anchor text was a URL it was even simpler because BBEdit would magically detect it and fill it in for me. Then it was just select, keystroke, return. In version 10, the dialog that shows up makes me type in 'href' and won't auto-detect that I have a URL as my selection. I can see the potential for these in-line editors, but I feel like some basic functionality has been removed and I'm hoping it's just something I've missed in the preferences. Any ideas? Thanks. This sounds like a nice group of people. Take care. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "BBEdit Talk" discussion group on Google Groups.
