In the current version of BBedit the only option available for the
settings of 'tabs' or 'spaces' is global.
But that's not what I wanna have.
In C++ program code I wanna have spaces instead of tabs, but for
(Unix) C++ make files I need to have tabs because that's the delimiter
used.
A work around is to make use of the 'entab' and 'detab' menu options,
but not very convenient.

My all time favorite editor CodeWright had a Document Manager Option
which enables the manipulation of lot of these specific settings on an
individual file (next to set these options also on extensions of
files).
My suggestion: Is it possible to create such a behavior in BBEdit
also. The topics for these setting should have the following
attributes:
- tabs or spaces with tabs columns settings
- unix or windows El
- backup spec
- backup location
- text wrapping (on|off), if on the right margin position
- line numbers on|off
- scrollbars (horizontal and vertical)
- ruler
- highlighting of the active/current line.
Maybe a smart idea?

And please note that the settings can managed on:
- individual files
- file groups, based on the file extension (which can be filtered)
