Based on the comments about the development of Bookle a chroot environment sounds about right. Bookle has to copy any epub files into its internal data store because the sandboxing doesn't allow it to access files outside of that store, and it is this that concerns me about BBEdit (and sandboxing in general). I understand why Apple wants sandboxing, but I think they are going way too far in requiring it of *all* MAS apps. I think they should do something more along the lines of saying that apps that can be sandboxed must be, and apps that cannot be have a more stringent approval process. If I download an image processing app from the MAS like Flare and it has to retain its own copy of every image that's going to be a huge issue, for example. > I really am curious and not just being silly.
