I won’t swear to this but I presume this only happens when you quit BBEdit with unsaved documents and BBEdit is restoring these documents from the autosave cache. I find it very convenient to have this new possibility and can easily tolerate the few seconds it takes for BBEdit to restore the state at quit. I imagine that if you save all your open windows before quitting,including all those untitled snippets that you really don’t need ever to see again, you will avoid this minor inconvenience at the cost of what I consider a greater chore.
