There is a demo version you could have tried first. Also, your
previous version of BBEdit is still works the same so you can
use that and your scripts will work fine. You don't need to make
any changes to your scripts.
It is unfortunate you spent money on a product before demoing it
first. I don't have any suggestions for solving that.
