I have not seen a follow up on this lone aging question. In my case I am using BBedit 10.5.5 on macosx 10.8.4.
I have this same issue. I trust there is a poorly documented work-around. Since I have used BBedit for ever and have recently taken to speech-to-text because it is now well supported by the macosx, I am frustrated that I can't get BBedit to speak anything but the file name. Thanks for any help.
