When working with large projects it is not practical IMO to manually sort the
list. I want an option to place the file names in alphabetical order so I can
easily find them and not have to manage folders, manual sorts, etc. The
problem is that I add the initial files such that they look sorted, then when I
add new files I forget that they are located at the bottom because the rest of
the list appears sorted and I waste time manually putting them where they
belong. Now if this was one or two projects that I used all of the time, then
I could live with it, but I use BBedit to review other people's work and
projects so I may create a project collection for just a few hours work and I
may add files in several waves as I go deeper into the project. Because of the
short term nature of the work, I don't care to deal with or learn the project's
structure in order to find what I need to review.
