I’m having the same issue. But `svn --version` from the command line
reports back that it is 1.6.18, not 1.7. There are no other versions
of svn in my PATH. I’m really confused as to where BBEdit is finding
the svn 1.7 binary.

BBEdit is asking Xcode (via `xcrun`) to locate the svn binary, and Xcode is returning the one that it has supplied in its own package.

Can I use the expert pref `defaults read com.barebones.bbedit
SubversionToolPathOverride` to make sure that BBEdit uses the svn
1.6.18 binary?

Better to install the BBEdit 10.5.6 pre-release, which no longer employs `xcrun` and will probably do what you need: <https://groups.google.com/d/msg/bbedit/7MsCXNSdbdI/c2ET4z3zfbIJ>.

Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they sedate me.
