perfectly either from BBEdit or Applescript Editor, so I'm sorted.
[In fact the issue of the home directory is more complex than just disk
name so I may have to tinker with that again. [My home directory is not
on the same disk as the start up, which is an SSD -- too expensive to
use for more than the OS! -- but Dropbox gets very upset as it doesn't
understand the redirection that OS X is giving everything else via the
Advanced Settings in System Prefs/Users. This means it lives on the
start-up in a 'fake' home directory. If that doesn't make sense but
you're still interested for curiosity, happy to elaborate privately!)]
