I am confused by how these work together. When I enter my search term - an email address - and point it to my log file directory and hit Extract all it gives me is the email address I entered, one on a new line for each occurrence in the files in the directory - not exactly useful!
What I want is to have the full line that contains that email address copied to a new document such that I then have every occurence of that email address in the new document so I can pour through it looking for errors. I tried adding * before and after the email address to see if that would bring over the whole line but that didn't work. I thought checking grep might work as that normally gives you the whole line, but again just got the email address on a line on its own.
