Ok, thanks. Actually, I understood that they now must be put under
~/Library/Application Support/BBEdit/Text Filters/ while they do not run if they are under the "perlish" submenu of the script editing menu at the rightmost side of BBedit. They do indeed operate as Text Filters, so I think this is why.
