I've been using BBEdit for nearly 20 years and I can't believe I didn't know about this group!
Since upgrading to 10.10 (maybe 10.9 -- I don't quite remember), I've seen files open in BBEdit show an annoying behavior. When in the background, the top file will randomly scroll up. I'll be working on a web page, for instance, jump over to a browser to check it, and while the browser window is in the foreground, I'll see the file I was working on in BBEdit just randomly scroll up. By "randomly," I mean it isn't a smooth, constant scroll, but small jerky moves without any clear pattern, except that they always scroll up, never down. Most of the time this is just distracting and annoying, but sometimes I need to see the code in the background and it scrolls out of view. I keep expecting this to be resolved with an update, but I actually haven't been able to find anyone else talking about it. Am I the only one? I'm running BBEdit on a 2012 27" iMac, with 10.10.5. I run two monitors, and the only unusual thing in my set up is that I use a Wacom Bamboo tablet instead of a mouse. All the touch features of the tablet are turned off. This scrolling does not happen with any other applications. Is anyone else seeing this? -- This is the BBEdit Talk public discussion group.
