Hello,

I frequently use long GREPs as part of doing bulk search-and-replace
commands in thousands of files at once. BBEdit performs an incredibly
frustrating and inconvenient action every time I click anywhere outside of
the search box: it automatically scrolls/jumps back to the top of the
search field. Why? I often edit my long GREPs on-the-fly, and I don't
want my cursor-placement/scrolled-view to be lost every time I do a test
search, click out of the search box, and then return to the search box. I
have to manually scroll back to find where I was within the long GREP text
. . . every time. (For those of you who search with long, complicated
GREPs, you know how messy and gibberish-looking they can be. It's very
tiresome and difficult on the eyes.)

Is there a way to prevent that auto-jumping-to-the-top-in-search-boxes
behavior in the expert prefs?

Thank you for the help!
