Is there a (relatively simple way) to add custom syntax highlighting in
BBEdit?
Here's the use-case: I mostly write in Markdown but I have my own
particular syntax for specific things (such as, for example, squared
brackets for comments, and curly brackets for citations). I would love
to be able to color-highlight these things in the editor, just like
bolds and italics are highlighted when selecting Markdown as the
document's language. How can I do this?
Googling for this just brings "Codeless Language Modules" but this looks
to be much more advanced than my specific needs.
Sorry if this sounds stupid but I'm a new user to BBEdit, as I only used
TextWrangler (and for very simple things). I'm also not a programmer so
please pardon any misused terms.
Thank you!
