Six and a half years on, I am having the same issue. But I can solve it by changing a setting:
Preferences => Editor Defaults => Soft wrap text to: Window width I need to close and reopen the application for the setting to take effect, and only then in new windows. In old windows, I can get window-width wrapping from the menus: View => Text Display => Soft Wrap Text: at Window Width That seems to solve all the problems — note that you must have Default Text Window (Window menu) set for the window width you want. - dpb On Friday, September 18, 2009 at 11:40:33 AM UTC-4, Zhen Sun wrote: > > When editing Chinese/Japanese/Korean (CJK) characters in BBEdit with > soft or hard wrap turned on, the line runs too long.
