I don't recall large files being an issue in BBEdit, but today it's taking several minutes of the spinning pinwheel for BBEdit to open a 4.5MB file.
I'm on a macbook pro using os x 10.11.5. It was doing this earlier before i upgraded to 11.6 from previous, and it also does the same thing in 11.6. For comparison, I loaded the same file in both Atom & SublimeText (latest versions) and in both it loads in 2 seconds, whereas in BBEdit it took 2 minutes. -- This is the BBEdit Talk public discussion group.
