I am just beginning to play with Git. If I choose "Open Log File" under the Git menu, I get this:
### Friday, December 9, 2016 at 5:57:29 PM (empty log message) But I DO get info when I enter "git log" in Terminal. I am not sure why they aren't the same. Otherwise, the BBEdit Git menu items seem to do what I would expect. I can add, commit, etc. and it all seems to work fine. When I do a "git status" in Terminal, I can see the changes that I made via BBEdit and its Git menu. But I don't understand the difference between the log file referred to by BBEdit and what I seen when I enter "git log". I've been using BBEdit for ages, but just learning Git, so this may be a dumb question. -- This is the BBEdit Talk public discussion group.
