OS X 10.13.4
BBEdit 12.1.4

When I open a file in BBEdit from the finder (via either CMD-O or
control-clicking and selecting Open), I am switched to the BBEdit
application which displays the opened file, then a second later a brief
animation of what looks like the BBEdit file icon zooming from
postage-stamp size to a little larger before it fades out. This is
distracting, I'm hoping there is some way to disable it?

I'm not sure if this is a BBEdit issue or a system issue. However it does
not occur when opening the same files (txt, css, js, html) in other editors.

Curiously, the animation does NOT show if I open a file by control-clicking
and select BBEdit from the Open With menu, as opposed to Open (or using
cmd-O).
