Good afternoon,

macOS 10.15 "Catalina" is now shipping.

If you are using TextWrangler: you're going to need a 64-bit TextWrangler. BBEdit is it.

(Seriously: you'll feel right at home. And BBEdit has Free Mode, so you get the TextWrangler features you're used to, for free, and then some.)

You can learn more here: <https://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/>.

If you have a paid BBEdit license and you're using a version of BBEdit older than 12.1, it will *not* run on macOS Catalina, and it's time to upgrade. You can read about your upgrade options here: <https://www.barebones.com/store/bbedit_upgrades.html>.

If you've been using BBEdit 11.6 or later in Free Mode, you can download the latest BBEdit from the BBEdit updates page <https://www.barebones.com/support/bbedit/updates.html> or install it from the Mac App Store and keep going. You'll get a fresh 30-day evaluation period.

(Note: all of the above is true if you're using macOS Mojave, as well.)

Complete details on OS compatibility are available here:

Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they sedate me.
