If you would like the "Project" section to highlight the active document, you can do this. Here is an excerpt from the Expert Preferences help <https://www.barebones.com/support/bbedit/ExpertPreferences.html#proj>: BBEdit will not automatically reveal documents in the project list when you select them; View => Reveal in Project List works for this purpose.
