I only just realized (and that’s really embarrassing for someone who has been using BBEdit since 1997…) that you can take whatever *Preview* filter (Unix command) you have built into the *Text* Filters folder as well. So yeah – a simple text factory (or just “Text Filter” + “Save as…” will do the job.
