mutt (a MUA) has terrific regexp searching capabilities, and
searches can be applied to headers or bodies. In mutt, you can
use the 'limit' feature to only show messages that match a
search.

You also might want to look at glimpse/webglimpse, as it is a
search-engine. It has the ability to work with fields:
