I have a solaris box running 2.6 which is a key infrastructure server (meaning I can not easily reboot). When I log in on the box in the CDE, instead of sending console output to the desktop console, it interupts the CDE every time something is written to /dev/console and writes it in white space in the middle of the screen (like the white space you get the "ok" prompt in if you hit stop-A).
Does anyone know what causes this problem and how I can fix it without a reboot?
