Margaret Meeting Maker, Inc Engineering Manager/Director POSITION Our company, a leading provider of proven solutions for collaborative group scheduling for over 10 years, is looking for hands-on engineering manager. We're searching for a leader with excellent C++ skills who's not afraid to roll-up his sleeves and lead by example. Moreover, we're looking to bring on board someone with proven team leadership ability that will positively contribute to code specifications and quality as well as the team management efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES You will coordinate and coach a close-knit group of 8-10 engineers who are organized into team units. You'll conduct code reviews, schedule engineering activities, mentor staff and generally coordinate engineering related day-to-day operations. You'll work with product management, QA and senior staff to define and implement standards based functionality for a client server and web services based product offering. Together with QA management, we expect you to supervise source control, build, localization and installer programming operations. As a hands-on manager you may also be responsible for small coding components to keep your technical skills fresh. QUALIFICATIONS - -Proven experience with engineering team leadership or management, especially in an environment with parallel development efforts underway. - -Strong software engineering background, including Object-oriented design and implementation; Naming conventions, documentation and other coding standards. - -Substantial design and implementation experience with C++, communication and networking protocols.
