I have been reading that 'dump' has been strongly discouraged for use on Linux systems because of (at last reading) a problem exists between the kernel and the application. I find this a bizzare definition but haven't been able to research the problem much more. The note that I'd seen that sent me down this path said that Linus said there was a problem and that it wasn't high on the list of things to fix. -- << MCT >> [EMAIL PROTECTED] Michael C Tiernan. http://world.std.com/~mtiernan Is God a performance artist? --- Send mail for the `bblisa' mailing list to `[EMAIL PROTECTED]'.
