As part of my anti-spam efforts I decided that I do not want to accept
e-mail from hosts without matching reverse and forward DNS (the paranoid
mode of tcp wrappers). Sendmail has been builtwith tcp wrappers support,
and I updated /etc/hosts.deny with a line "ALL: PARANOID, UNKNOWN".
Sendmail is now dropping connections from hosts with no reverse DNS, but
still letting through connections without matching forward and reverse
DNS.
How can I get sendmail to reject these connections (I don't want to ever
see another header with "may be forged" in it)?
thanks,
benji
