I've got an 'iConcepts' USB serial dongle on the 12" G4 sitting next to me right now. If you use the NEWEST driver - available from them, but NOT what came with it in the package - it will creat /dev/tty.usbserial0 and /dev/cu.usbserial0 when the dongle's plugged in. I do NOT have a partnumber or the original packaging or such around, sorry. This was purchased at MicroCenter about 3 weeks ago. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005V9BQ/102-9253573-3084168?vi=glance seems to be the right thing.
