I currently have Comcast for cable and ISP. I also have a domain name (through another provider), and would like to transfer it to a company I know won't go under, and have it managed at a decent cost. My first thought was to transfer it to Eartlink, then have them as my ISP via Comcast, but I learned EL only does POP email, thus no security during username/password authentication.
What does Speakeasy provide for email security? My goal for the provider is flexibility of email client with security of initial authentication. I was thinking it would make most sense to transfer my domain to the same provider offering me service. It would be easier for me to hand off the responsibility and let them take responsibility for backups, etc. Who offers IMAP w/SSL support for domains? Maybe having my domain with the same company acting as my ISP is not the answer. I also don't want to spend a fortune, since this is only for residential needs. Thanks for any insight/leads/ideas.
