I found the rhce classes fun. It was interesting to see what the instructor knew, and if there were any deficiencies. Overall the classes were informative. I never bothered with tcp-wrappers previously, only ipfwadm/ipchains/iptables, so that was beneficial. I can' really comment on the test. I showed up 45 minutes late with a mighty hangover, after trying to remember where my car was, and then racing to the testing facility so I wouldn't have to explain to my boss why $2800(or whatever it was) was just wasted. Going 70 on Memorial Drive was a unique experience.

I passed though.

Well now, that was a nice collection of knowledge!

Thanks to everyone for sharing, it was very helpful.

The question came up because I *might* be able to get the company to pay for a cert class (or two) and I was thinking that maybe taking one of these might help me see if there's any holes in my knowledge that need filling.

(I'm not really expecting much from it in the way of "new" things to learn).

I also figure that if it's free it is well worth the money. :)
I might need yet another thing to "fill out" my resume.

Thanks ya'll!
