It's unclear from your note if you are using the Linux kernels built in software RAID or if not which hardware RAID controller you are using. Without that information, I'm sure sure where anyone could start. Oh, you also say you are running Fedora Core 6 on the server. That version hasn't had security or other fixes available for a while now. If this is a convenient time, you might consider upgrading possibly with a new install.
