Hi all: Back Bay LISA's March meeting will be next:
Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 at 7PM with Jim Donn and Tim Hartmann from the Harvard University Network Services Group. Their talk is titled: How Splunk Manages Our Junk As environments grow and systems become more complex, building and managing a usable centralized logging infrastructure can be a daunting task. In this talk, we will walk through our real-life experiences implementing Splunk as our centralized logging infrastructure for our Network, Systems, Security, and Application teams. Over the past three years, we have had to change our strategies and architecture to account for organic customer growth, changes in team requirements, and evolutions in technology. As usual you can view the full announcement at: http://www.bblisa.org/index.html We have a new room assignment for this meeting: MIT E-51, Room 376 The agenda is: 7:00 - Announcements & Introductions 7:25 - Door prizes (worth anywhere from $43.99 to $2.99) 7:30 - Formal presentation Also we are looking for speakers starting in May. If anybody has any ideas, please send me your ideas. -- -- rouilj John Rouillard =========================================================================== My employers don't acknowledge my existence much less my opinions. _______________________________________________ bblisa mailing list [email protected] http://www.bblisa.org/mailman/listinfo/bblisa
