Can you bind either windows snmp or the devices snmp to a specific host ip? If so, you might be able to assign a secondary IP to the server and use that for this device. Similar idea to pat's suggestion.
Also, do you have any smart(networkable) power strips? A lot of smart pdu's have accessory/sensor ports on them that allow you to hook up a variety of sensors, which can be monitored over the network. I may have some really old APC EMU's (Environmental Monitoring Units) in a box somewhere, which might do what you are looking for as well. Let me see if I can find them. rgt Whitehead Network/System Administrator ----- On Jan 21, 2016, at 5:54 PM, Bob Webber [email protected] wrote: > At the risk of changing the subject, SNMP temperature monitors (a phrase you > can > take to Google) in small, free-standing (sometimes PoE) boxes cost $200 to > $300 > or so. > > The one thing they can’t give you is an automatic patching cycle where > temperature values become temporarily unavailable while the system maintains > itself. > > Bob > > >> On Jan 21, 2016, at 5:27 PM, Brian McAllister <[email protected]> wrote: >> >>>>> On 1/21/2016 at 17:23:47 EST, Patrick Cable wrote: >> >>> Can you run one of the services on a different port?
