In my opinion, this is not so easy to answer. It depends on what are you
going to do with it. Are you going to develop your own software - then look
out if the software (driver) is appropriate for you (quality of
documentation!). If you are going to use software such as BCI2000, then use
the system that is recommended for this software. Also, consider how easily
the system can be upgraded to a larger system. It might be good to have the
flexibility to split the system into several smaller amplifiers or combine
smaller systems to a larger system (with more channels). Again, this depends
on your needs and on the studies you plan.

  Best,
  Bernhard

    Hi All,

I am wondering could you help me in finding out the best EEG system, in
your opinion or otherwise, that is available, for use in a BCI? Not just
simply an amplifier or parts here and there but an actual commercial EEG Rig
that we could use for BCI work. I have heard mention that the
"BioSemi-Active2" is one of the best available although I am not sure.

If you could possibly reply with any comment, doesn't matter how short
they are, in relation to a system you know of or have heard about that is
considered the current best in commercial EEG Rigs?

Thanks in advance for your time,
    Chris
