I'm not sure about all your output on the previous e-mail, but please try a 
couple of other things.

What do you see from an iwconfig command? You may have to be root to run that 
one.

What do you see from an 'iwlist s' command? Again that may require root.

Those commands should be run after you have done the 'modprobe bcm43xx'. The other modules should be loaded indirectly.

Does your distro keep its ifcfg files in /etc/sysconfig/network? If so, please show the contents of ifcfg-eth1* in that directory, or wherever the ifcfg files are kept.
