You should first issue: > ifconfig eth1 up my fault! i forgot to mention that ifconfig eth1 up is EXACTLY the line that i tried first and that first reported "SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory" For the firmware, as suggested by Michael Bueschl i get a "Microcode "bcm43xx_microcode5.fw" not available or load failed." I used the wl_apsta.o i found here http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-409194.html and precisely: http://openwrt.inf.fh-brs.de/~nbd/wl_apsta.o since fwcutter gave me NO errors when cutting the firmware i thought it was supposed to work! Thanks a lot I will try a newer or different one and report. bye -- Andrea Lusuardi aka UoVoBW Registered Linux User #364578 http://uovobw.homelinux.org Q: Cosa fa un gentooista sottacqua?
