Don't send HTML to public fora. The question doesn't make much sense. With the current code, I treat mine as a wireless interface -- surely that's just up to the user's policy? It doesn't need any changes in softmac. I suspect you're actually asking if there's an plan to assign bizarre _names_ to the device rather than using the standard 'eth%d'?
