Hi all,
I'm using fedora core 5, which kernel becomed 2.6.17
After that I'm able to see my bcm43xx module loaded at boot time.

I don't know if firmware is needed also for this driver (and if the
procedure to obtain it is the same as before with fwcutter).

I'm unable to make an ad-hoc connection, and problems seems to be on my
PC only, because other PC are already connected and working in ad-hoc
connection.

In kernel log I see:
kernel: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth1: link is not ready
kernel: bcm43xx: ASSERTION FAILED (radio_attenuation < 10) at:
drivers/net/wireless/bcm43xx/bcm43xx_phy.c:1485:bcm43xx_find_lopair()

and also
kernel: SoftMAC: Sent Authentication Request to 00:a0:f8:35:b0:01.
kernel: SoftMAC: Authentication timed out with 00:a0:f8:35:b0:01

I don't understand what appens.
Someone can help me solving this problem?
Bye
 Ambrogio
