I'm trying to get the bcm4306 on my Gateway 7426GX laptop to work with the Linux Bridging code. I'm trying to do this to get the tap0 interface from an instance of the QEMU emulator running windoze to bridge to my wireless connection and hence be on my network. I can make this work well with my wired Ethernet interface, but not with wireless. There are some hints here http://linux-net.osdl.org/index.php/Bridge#It_doesn.27t_work_with_my_Wireless_card.21 that I need the card/driver to be able to support both promiscuous mode and /or the ability to support WDS. Does anyone know is this works, or should work? Do I stand a chance of getting this working, or is it a lost cause.
