According to the info on http://www.preissuchmaschine.de/product_392366.html, 
it is an 802.11b/g 
card, The 54g means that it does 54 Mb/s. The only way to know what chip is 
included is to 
physically inspect the card, which you can do on a PCI card, or use the output 
of lspci - the only 
method for a Cardbus/PCMCIA card. If this card contains a BCM chip, it will 
work with 2.6.17, and 
even better with 2.6.18 that will be released very shortly.
