As of this morning, the last two bug fixes on my list were pushed from Jeff
Garzik to Andrew Morton
and Linus Torvalds for inclusion in -mainline (2.6.19-rcX). In addition, all
but one of the
enhancements that I have sent to Linville are now in wireless-2.6.git. Fixes
for the worst bugs are
also queued for 2.6.18.3.

Are there any issues that I do not know about? I do know, of course, about the
generally poor
transmit performance that limits the rate to 11M in most cases, the attenuation
assertions for
4318s, and the difficulty in getting the radio turned on for those cards with a
radio on/off button.

There is one other issue that I'm working on. I recently "upgraded" the
firmware on my Linksys
WRT54G V5 AP. When I did, DHCP stopped working for both SoftMAC and d80211;
however Windows XP can
still get its IP automatically. I'm building a new kernel for my other Linux
laptop so that Kismet
can capture the traffic.

Thanks,

Larry
