That's pretty obvious actually, since at that point no firmware has been
uploaded to the card again.

That's pretty weird, but off-hand I see nothing that could cause it.
Then again... Maybe we don't restore all clocks of the chip properly and
it's running against a slower clock that would cause the firmware to be
slower?
