New install on Athlonx64 Emachines M6809 with Mandriva x86-32 2007.0 with all current updates. I had my wireless bcm43 working for a couple of hours and a few reboots (x86-64 2007, the wireless is not working). I installed vmware (using all the defaults and with bridged networks on the wireless)and now the network is not working. Is this a possible cause of the loss of wireless?
When I use network manager to run the wizard Network&Internet configuration on the Broadcom Corp BCM94306 802.11g NIC and select "Advanced" there are no values in the NetworkID,Operating frequency,..... iwconfig. Should these normally be empty/blank. When I select the "Manage Wireless Networks" my network signal strength is red with 2 bars, but when I disconnect the signal strength is green with 5 bars Many thanks to all for the effort on this driver. Having wireless and virtual machines are my last steps to get off dual booting.
