I no longer have 2.6.22 running on the laptop where I can run my 4318; however, the current wireless 2.6 git tree, which uses b43 as the driver, gets a transmit rate of 10.6 Mbs and a receive rate of 16.6 Mbs, when the interface rate is set to 54 Mbs with iwconfig. These rates are measured with iperf at a distance of 2 m between the laptop and the AP, and using WPA-PSK encryption. All WPA encryption/decryption is done in software for bcm43xx, b43, and b43legacy drivers. If your copy of wpa_supplicant and associated software can handle EAP and ca-certificate, then the driver will work with that scheme.
